Meet The Artist
Jancy "Juno" McClellan is an artist currently residing and creating in central Ohio. Her work is both whimsical and thought provoking and ranges from everyday topics and memories to concerns about society as a whole. Each of her pieces is a story of her experiences and thoughts delivered through fabric, paint and threads. In creating these personal diary entries, she begins by conducting research on the subject(s) of choice, both visual and through text, transfers her ideas to free drawings that are combined as she sews the piece. Currently, her work includes different materials and combines different techniques, both machine and hand stitching, within the same piece. This gives her work a clean feel but still captures the delicacy and texture of hand work. The subject matter of her work varies, but the meaning instilled is genuine.
